Mackenzie Creek Tributary: Stream Bank Restoration

LOCATION
Webster Groves, Missouri
PROJECT OVERVIEW

Engineering Built Around the Project

This project focused on stabilizing a section of the Mackenzie Creek tributary to address ongoing erosion that threatened a nearby residence and an exposed 24-inch sanitary sewer line.

VonArx Engineering provided full survey and design services, including a topographic survey and HEC-RAS floodplain study to inform a targeted solution. We developed a gabion basket bank stabilization design to protect the streambank and surrounding infrastructure.

Our team also managed permitting with the City of Webster Groves, St. Louis County, MSD, Missouri DNR, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers—helping move the project forward efficiently and without unnecessary delays.
